Get lost in Adelaide, Australia

It was 20081029.

This was the second days I suffered from the diarrhoea. After finding the antidiarrhoea that I forgot the existence of it and taking it, I felt much better.

To stay at home for two days because of the suffering, I wanna stroll around near my share house after the dinner. Even though it's 7 PM o'clock right now, it's still bright outside and usually became dark about 8 PM o'clock. What I was thinking was that it's not suitable to go far away from my share house.

I moved casually without remembering the name of the road I was passing and just memorized the direction of my house, I hope I could go back via another way according to the direction. It's the origin of the coming problem, I get lost and it's getting dark...

I became nervous, the share house absolutely wasn't far away from me but the street was really complicated to me, too many streets in this region. My mobile phone with prepaid sim card was out of money, I didn't want to use the public phone to call my landlord because of costing 50 cents. I heard many news that some people were attacked or robbed during the night. These were the reasons why I was so nervous.

English was not my native language, I disliked to talk to the foreigner. But in this situation, this was the only method I could do to deal with current condition. With the helps from two kindly Aussies. I returned back to my lovely home. To remember the remarkable building or place near your house was really important and helpful for you.

The second guy told me he can speak some Chinese, I ask him what can you say? He said "Beijing", "Taiwan". It's just the name of some cities.
I was thinking he might say "你好嗎" in Chinese. =.=
