It's an accident to go to the Jazz festival (CLARENCE JAZZ FESTIVAL, 17 February to the 22 February 2009 ). I strolled around alone in Hobart and met Ann near the bus station coincidentally, she pointed to the festival advertisement on the newspaper and said "she wanna go to the festival". I agreed to participate it with her. I asked the bus driver if this bus is going to the Clarence, he told me he'd inform us when we get there. Around 10 minutes passed, the bus driver signaled us. What's this place after we got off the bus, it looked like an expressway, where's the festival? (The point A in the Google Map above was the place we got off) I asked the lady who got off the bus with us, !@#!@$@, fortunately it's within walk distance. On the way to the festival, we asked an elder are we in the right way. He said keep going, when you hear the music, it's right there.

We saw lots of people moving yachts, seemed a competition was holding. From the Google Maps above, you can see there's a pier just beside the place that was used to host the festival. A yacht club is right near the pier, I guessed the club hosted this activity.

After a short walk from the yacht club, we got to the destination (A major stage in the B point on the Google Maps), the place was crowded, full of vendors and accompanied with jazz music. I felt hungry at that moment. Tables, seats and canopies are everywhere, tons of people were drinking, chatting with their friends on the seats under the canopies and enjoying the jazz. There were something to eat, fun, some vendors to sell food was essential, and the last element was people. That's why he festival is called "festival".

The sun was warm, comfortable temperature, the weather today was nothing less than great. We found the seats, sat down and relaxed. Stayed there until the festival finished. The people there were enthusiastic and not afraid of dancing with their partners or children in front of the crowd.

I found most people there were elders. The only drawback to stay in Tasmania is that the weather s cold in the winter, besides that, it's really a quiet island and suitable for retired life. No over-exploitation, stay with the nature and wilds.

There are lots of festivals in Australia, you can try to find some information on the newspaper or information center.
